You may or may not have heard about the recent tragedy involving an American woman who was traveling solo in Turkey. A couple of weeks ago, there was a press release stating that she had gone missing. She was in Turkey to pursue her photography hobby. Just this past Saturday, it was sadly discovered that she had passed away while traveling by herself.

Now with all of this being released to the public, the idea of women traveling solo is under fire. As to every argument, there are two sides. The one side says that women traveling alone is “risky and downright foolish”. The other states, “That is coming from ignorant people who don’t know the joy and the amazing experience that can be had traveling abroad solo or otherwise.”
